House in the woods

I  was doing another color study today with purple and yellow colors and the good news is, this time I did not end up with piles of colors. But I liked the idea of painting with limited palate. This is improving my color knowledge  a lot. So I did this painting with yellow, alizarin crimson and blue colors.
I had taken this photograph 4 months ago in a small village near the foothill of himalaya. It was a bright morning and the sun rays were making the yellow grass and the trees to glow brilliantly. There was this little barn in the shadows of the tree. I had sat there for an hour peacefully, basking in the warm sun light. I enjoyed the feeling once again while painting this scene.
